A Walk by the River: Riverscape North This limited edition Riverscape screen-print explores the North Bank of the Thames showing the diverse mix of old and new architecture including the historic Tower of London and Old Billingsgate and the glass and metal structures of ‘New’ London emerging in the unusual forms of the Walkie-Talkie and Gherkin.

Screen-printed in a limited edition of just 50 prints, all prints are signed and numbered on the front.
Hand Crafted
Using the craft of silk screen-printing, Kethi builds up the image through multiple layers of print. Riverscape North features 10 layers of screen-printed colour each printed by hand in Kethi's London studio.
Unframed prints are 23 cm x 95 cm printed on cream acid-free paper 250gsm. Prints are supplied with backing board and artist statement.
Framed Prints are mounted with an acid free mount in a custom made black wooden frame, ready to hang. Framed size: 35.5 cm x 100.5 cm

‘A Walk by the River’ print series is an on-going project of walking and drawing in London. All the original drawings are made by hand from the opposite bank of the Thames through this method; the twists and turns of the river become a continuous line upon which both the well-known and under-appreciated of London’s riverside architecture are given chance to shine.

I've always liked the clean aesthetic of screen printing and the sharp lines and judicious use of colour caught my eye with this work. I chose the North Bank print for its panoramic shape and the balance of the Tower, Gherkin and Walkie Talkie.
